I am chomping at the bit to decorate for Fall. I really am. I can just smell the cinnamon pumpkin spice nutmeg apple goodness that says Fall. So I’m starting to look at my collages and tiered tray options and I saw this project: faux caramel apples. It’s so easy and it was fun to make.
All I did was shove wooden dowels in plastic apples and coat in an acrylic caramel color.
Then optionally, to give it a coating of “nuts”, I used stuff called Kay Kob and sprinkled it on while the paint was still wet. You can see how realistic it looks. How cool is that!
This will make a great addition to a vignette or tiered tray.
