I just love me a good Target Haul. Praying at the Church of Bullseye is a near obsession for me. There are so many things I can chalk on or just plain decorate with. I will show you my latest haul in the next few days, but for now I want to share my experience in adding some fun Fall finishing with the Autumn Sayings chalk transfer to a Lazy Susan I picked up at Target.
So here it is. The Target Dollar Spot Lazy Susan. Pretty nice I think. And the price was right.
I’m going to use my Chalk Couture Country Plaid transfer on it, cos plaid. I just want to plaid the bottom half, so I’m trendy and all ; so I’m going to mask it off with some placement tape so I get a nice straight line. I used black as my plaid base and the top coat with Shimmer Pumpkin. Shimmer anything is the best at this point. Speaking of which, above the plaid I’ve added Gather from the Autumn Sayings transfer in Shimmer Olive. Now I LOVE the Shimmer Olive straight on the wood but it is a little hard to see, so If I did it again, I would paint the background white then paint the gather on. And, in my brilliance, I plan on adding the fall cut outs when I get them and make a nice vignette. Embellished with fall leaf picks and it will be done and ready for fall.
