Let’s Give Thanks for DIY Fall Decor

I’m ready for Fall to be here. I’m unpacking the buffalo plaid. And, yes I can rock a flannel shirt without looking like a maniacal lumber jackie. I’m ready for lit fire pits and s’mores of any variety. I’m ready for football, even though my Eagles are NOT. I especially enjoy decorating for Fall. Gorgeous fall colors…the golds and reds and oranges… so nice. Today I will show you a couple of easy fall decor items you can make yourself! So beautiful and easy to do.

The FALL was done by cutting up a 2×4 and chalking these letters. This particular font is a chalk couture retired font, but there are current chalk couture options, like the Rustic Font, for a slightly smaller version. I added some thread spools and spanish moss that I’ve picked up somewhere at some point. These make a great tableau and would for sure be part of a fantastic Thanksgiving Centerpiece. Now, about those squash.

Those fine folks at Chalk Couture, always so timely with their new releases. As soon as I saw these Pumpkin Cut Outs, I HAD to have them. I just love them, They fit perfectly everywhere and are so versatile. Paint them solid, or leave them blank and add a pattern, like I did here. I used the Woven Stripe Pattern transfer and added some doodads I picked up somewhere. What a beautiful scene for my foyer table

As a BONUS, check out this video of me making gorgeous Autumn Cutouts!

And that’s all I got for this post. I’m gonna go grab my Snuggly and wait for the temperature to drop a little. There’s a hot mulled cider out there with my name on it.

Stay safe and Chalk On
