More Fun with Country Plaid Transfer on a Target Tiered Tray.

So, if you haven’t noticed by now, (and how could you not) I’m kinda obsessed with the Country Plaid transfer. I’m sure I will have to order at least one or two more of these transfers it’ll get used so much. You’ve seen me use it on a big bunny, and an easter display. Today, I’m going to show you what I did with the Country Plaid transfer and a tiered tray I picked up from the Target Dollar Spot.

Here’s a fun fact. The pattern of plaid as we know it today, originated in Scotland in the 1700s. Specific color combinations represented certain clans or families. A particular Scot, Rob Roy MacGregor, traveled to the wilds of Canada to find work. Later, he helped tame Montana and the Dakota territories by establishing trade with the Sioux. He bartered pelts with natives for woven blankets from Scotland—emblazoned with red and black tartan of his (MacGregor) clan. It was the pattern we know today as buffalo plaid, named for the Bison seen in the Dakotas. It’s most recently been the go to style for Grunge and now Hipster types.

The Chalk Couture Country Plaid is a slightly different pattern, but still has that buffalo plaid appeal. A airier pattern that’s a little more understated and less squared off than the buffalo style. This was one of the first times I used the new Creamy Dreamy chalk paste, and it is heavenly. I think this project turned out great, don’t you? Add a couple of seasonal embellishments and you’ve got a great little display.

Check out the video below to see how I made this fun project.

Plaid is everything! Stay safe and Chalk On!
