For the next few days I’m going to show you some great projects I did to beautify my porch – the Porch Decor Series, if you will.
Historically the front porch was born out of practicality. Beginning in the South, the porch came about right after the Revolutionary war and started in the South as a way to escape the heat. Along with that came the social aspect, with folks meeting on the porch for some refreshments and chit chat.
The porch has gone in and out of popularity over the years but now it’s back, with a need to be social again, barring quarantine, and the need to protect our packages and deliveries we so often get. So why not have the porch look it’s best with some great designs from Chalk Couture. Plus, with American holidays coming up, let’s make them patriotic.
Here they are. I think they turned out fantastic!
I used the Polka Dots, Freedom, Homespun Tags, and Home of the Brave transfers to create the project today. I used Sexy Secret, Salty Secret, and Deep Waters from Jess Sea at Seapaints.com. I used Bright White, Candy Apple, and Cadet Chalk Pastes to create the designs. I am also using the Fuzzing Towel, Transfer Trimmers, Fine Mist Sprayer, Stir Sticks, Color Trays and Mini Squeegees.
