Porch Decor Series Part III: Home of the Brave transfer

Here we are at the Porch Decor Series Part III. This time I used the Home of the Brave transfer on a pallet board. But first, good ol’ Francis Scott Key penned those words to our national anthem way back in 1814, based on his observation of the attack of Fort McHenry. Finally it was officially the anthem in 1931 and has ever since challenged singers of all skill levels at all sorts of events. Some with success, some not so much. Who can forget the Roseanne Barr debacle or Fergie’s fabulous fail at the NBA all-star game. Woo… that jus hurt me.

Home of the Brave Transfer

Anywho, here we go. I created with a 9×12 Pallet Sign and a found surface along with our Home of the Brave transfer (Coming back in stock May 11-15). I distressed and painted my found surface with Sexy Secret, Salty Secret, and Deep Waters from Jess Sea at Seapaints.com . I used Shimmer Silver, Candy Apple, Black Velvet and Cadet Chalk Pastes to create the designs. The ribbon I used is from Michaels. I am also using the Fuzzing Towel, Transfer Trimmers, Fine Mist Sprayer, Stir Sticks, Color Trays and Mini Squeegees.

And that’s it for the Porch Decor Series Part III. Check out the video below to see how I created this fun, patriotic project.

Stay safe and chalk on!
