So I recently got this Soda Fountain transfer and saw the Whatever Sprinkles Your cookies part and it brought up an age old debate: are they Sprinkles or are they Jimmies.
Here in the Philly/South Jersey area, they are Jimmies, rainbow or chocolate…all Jimmies. Do yourself a favor and don’t argue about it if you’re here. It’s like Taylor Ham/Pork Roll debate – there’s no winner and a brawl usually ensues.
Anywho, when I saw this transfer I thought I could do something really cool with it. It would be risky, but worth a try cos the result would be so cute. I added actual Jimmies, er, Sprinkles to the wet paint of where it says SPRINKLES! It actually didn’t turn out too bad, but you have to watch the video to see how I did it cos there are some important steps needed to get it right. But here it is, the Soda Fountain transfer in action:
Pretty cute, right? It’s on a Chalk Couture Board & Base. I used Bright White Chalk Paste. I am also using the Fuzzing Towel, Transfer Trimmers, Fine Mist Sprayer, Stir Sticks, Color Trays and Mini Squeegees. I thought it turned out great, which just goes to show: Take that risk when creating. You will likely be rewarded with a fantastic work of art. Worst case, you’ll have a funny fail to talk about.
