Throwback Thursday: Farmer’s Market Transfer on Towel.

For this week’s throwback, we’ll travel back to September. Ahh, anytime before March… freedom. Well, at least we have the stay at home freedom to chalk all the things. This time, I’ll show you the Farmer’s Market transfer on a kitchen towel.

This project, as with most projects involving a textile, uses Chalkology Ink. The biggest difference of note is that Ink is permanent. Once it’s heat set, it’s washable, so it’s great on t-shirts, towels, pillows, banners, etc.

There are specific techniques to know when using ink, which you can see in more detail here, but it’s pretty much as easy as chalk. You can pick out a fun kitchen towel at your favorite store, just be sure it is the right size for the transfer. Then, just ink away and, voilà, instant transformed kitchen towel.

This is the Farmer’s Market chalk transfer with Almond Ink. I also used the Fuzzing Towel, Stir Sticks, and Mini Squeegees.

Check out the video below to see how I made this fun project.

Stay Home. Stay Safe. Chalk On.
