Tip Tuesday – Couture Ink is cool too, ya know.

Couture Ink. Sometimes it comes off as the red headed stepchild of Chalkology Paste, but it really is quite versatile and fun to work with. Couture Ink is permanent color when heat set and is ideal for fabric, apparel, and other heat-safe surfaces. Read all use and care instructions for fabulous results, and test a small area on your surface before use.

You can check this recent post here, for some great tips on how to info like applying the ink and other care to be taken when using ink. If the surface is able to absorb the ink and you can heat set on it, you can pretty much ink on it. So why not say it on a sign, then say it on a shirt? You surely can…and pillows, towels, banners, even stickers.

I just recently did chalk and ink projects with the Rise & Shine transfer. You can see here, each project was easy to do and looks great.

I just love adding fun and sometimes snarky comments to textiles. And Chalk Couture has some good ones. Here’s a sweet vintage camper on a burlap banner.

Or how about a simply stated expression on a cute pillow for your living room or bed?

Here’s a good one on a tea towel perfect for your kitchen! (Hell I’d even put that on a shirt)

And, finally, in another previous post, you can make vinyl stickers too!
