UPDATE: Country Plaid Easter Bunny is Super Cute

I finally took time in all my chaos to get a good pic of the Country Plaid Easter Bunny project. The previous post about it is below the pic, including the project video in case you missed it.

So, as you know I am the queen of Buffalo Plaid (Buffalo Plaid ALL the Things!) With Easter coming early this year, I need to keep an eye on my decor items and start to prepare. What better way to combine April Decor and Buffalo plaid than chalking a bunny with the Chalk Couture Country Plaid transfer. That’s right; a Country Plaid Easter Bunny.

So how did we end up with an Easter Bunny symbolizing Easter? It’s a little foggy, but it seems to stem from German Lutherans in the 1600’s. The rabbit is a symbol of birth as are the eggs that he carries. Birth and rebirth…so there you go.

So that’s your history lesson for today; thanks Google. Now I probably picked up the bunny surface at Target or the Dollar Tree. The purple paint is from the gal at seapaints.com (who does NOT have an affiliate program, dang it!) that has fabulous paints and stains.

I did this Country Plaid Easter Bunny project with two transfers that you can get here. It turned out so cute. I don’t have a good still pic to show you, so you’ll have to check out the video below to see it for yourself.

Get ready to find those eggs, stay safe and chalk on!
